A Few Last Minute Things
- A warning for those coming through Galway. Roscahill “village”, between Moycullen and Oughterard, is a 50km zone and is a favourite spot for the speed camera van. You have been warned!
- The area around the assembly and Junior courses on Sunday is used for turf harvesting. There is some machinery and cut turf lying around. These should not impact you but please make sure that you and your children do not interfere with them.
- The weather today was apocalyptic – high winds, heavy rain and cold. The weekend is promised much better but please remember that this is an exposed upland area. Make sure to bring raincoats to the event – they may be compulsory on courses if the good weather does not materialise.
The weekend timetable is now available.
There is a bus transfer from the parking to Assembly at approximately 30 minute intervals. Please check the Bus Schedule to see which bus you should catch.
Control Descriptions will be printed on the maps. There will be no loose descriptions available at the event. If you need a loose control description, they are available here for you to print.

Elite Bib Numbers
Elite competitors will be required to wear a bib number. These can be collected at the start of the Middle race. The list of numbers is available.
And don’t forget to enter the 2013 Shamrock O-Ringen in June in West Cork & Kerry.
